        What is this FAQ about?

        This  FAQ is on the UK demoscene,  including coding, art and music on
        all  platforms.  It  is about anything  related  to the UK scene, the
        people in it and releases from it.

        What is the ukscene mag?

        The  ukscene  magazine  run by storm  called  Xtravaganza is the main
        source  of  for  ukscene info, it  will  feature articles on parties,
        compo's,  releases  related  to  the UK  and  on  top of that coding,
        tracking and art tutorials!

        What  a wonderful magazine eh? Subscribe  to the ukscene mailing list
        to receive it automatically or download it from the ukscene web page.

        What about an IRC channel?

        We have a channel which is open for anyone to join on IRCnet, we have
        no  bots guarding ops on it yet but please join #ukscene any time you
        are on. We may organize a meeting one time.

        To get onto IRC use mIRC from www.mirc.co.uk

        What about a party?

        Finally  we are getting one organised. The first one is a test to see
        the  sort  of  response we get. Tim  is  running one at his house. He
        lives  in Bradford, email him at  tim@frumple.com or see the webpage.

                How do I use the mailing list?

                To subscribe to the mailing list :-

                        Send    an   email   with    a   blank   subject   to
                        ukscene-subscribe@makelist.com  with the following in
                        the body :-

                How do I use the mailing list?

                        You will need to reply to the confirmation email once
                        it  returns  to you. You can  do this by email or you
                        can  go to the web page  it gives you to confirm your
                        subscription request.

                To send messages to the list :-

                        Send  your emails to ukscene@makelist.com to get them
                        to the list. Please read the list rules :-

                        1. No warez requests are allowed!

                        2. No  arguing  is allowed on  the  list. If you have
                           problems  with other members then  keep it off the
                           list,  or  mail me if  they are misbehaving on the
                           list.

                How do I use the mailing list?

                        3. Announcements  on releases in the  uk scene may be
                           made, but please only one announcement per release
                           so the list doesn't become flooded :)

                        4. Questions  may be asked on anything to do with the
                           ukscene.

                        5. No    attachments!!!   With   the   exception   of
                           Xtravaganza which will be posted by aquafresh.

                        6. Don't  take  the law into  your  own hands, if you
                           have any problems mail me (barog@globalnet.co.uk).
